Brian W. Smith is an author and the owner of Hollygrove Publishing, Inc. With less than three years of fiction writing under his belt, Brian's story telling ability along with his flare for serving up surprise endings has earned him thousands of fans. He released his first book, The S.W.A.P. Game in April 2006. The book has sold more than 3,000 copies during it's first year with very limited promotion, and has since eclipsed the 8,500 copy mark. The book impressed a couple of producers and has been targeted for the big screen. In January 2007, Brian's second book, Mama's Lies - Daddy's Pain, was released and received rave reviews. MLDP chronicles the life of a young man who raises a child for 17 years and then discovers he's not the child's biological father. MLDP has sold nearly 15,000 copies and has been converted into a screenplay.
In September 2007, Brian released his third book, Donna's Dilemma and it continued his string of successful books. Donna's Dilemma has sold nearly 9,000 copies and currently has a 5 star rating on Amazon.com. In June 2008, Brian ventured outside of his comfort zone and into the world of Erotica when he released Final Fling - his long awaited sequel to The S.W.A.P. Game. The book is co-authored with Essence Magazine Best Selling Author, Torrian Ferguson and currently has a 5 star rating on Amazon.com. In December 2008, Brian will release his fifth book, Nina's Got A Secret. Go to the "Purchase Book" page to order a copy of each book.

Book Reviews
Final Fling
"This book was very entertaining to say the least, I liked the character development and how both authors included the reader every step of the way. Through delightful descriptions, steamy sex scenes, and a hint of mystery I was not disappointed. I recommend this book to readers of all genres and people who love to live through other people." Cheryl H, Reviewer, APOOO Book Club
"The characters we either came to love or hate are still up to their crazy and freaky antics. "Final Fling" is a must read for fans of "Swingers" and "The S.W.A.P. Game." Toni, Reviewer, OOSA On-line Book reviews
"This is probably the best collaboration I've ever read. After reading The S.W.A.P Game and Swingers, I was wondering how these guys were going to bring the two couples together. What they have done with "Final Fling" was nothing short of amazing. And just when you think you know how it's going to end, Brian and Torrian do what they do best. If you're looking for a good, easy reading, steamy, dramtic page-turner, then you've found it." Lakeisha Lewis, President, Circle of Sisterhood Book Club, (Dallas, TX)
Donna's Dilemma
"This is one of the best books I've read this year and I will continue to read more of Brian W. Smith's books in the future. Brian W. Smith has not failed me yet...this book is filled with drama from beginning to end." Tekisha King, Reviewer, OOSA On-line Book Reviews
"Wow! I could not put this book down...I loved it and true to form from Brian, it had a nice shocking twist at the end. This is a must read! Keep them coming Mr. Smith." Rosalynd Lister, Co-Founder, S.I.L.K. Book Club, (Houston, TX)
"Brian Smith has done it again! Donna's Dilemma gives you an opportunity to think outside of the box…I can't wait to see what Brian Smith will come up with next!" Primrose Cameron-Hall, Founder, Woman 2 Woman Book Club, (DeLand, FL)
Mama's Lies - Daddy's Pain
“MAMA'S LIES - DADDY'S PAIN was a good read for me. It is always refreshing to see young men, especially young Black men, portrayed in a positive light. I applaud Smith for tackling such a controversial subject matter.” Renee Williams (Reviewer), RAWSISTAZ
“Mama's Lies- Daddy's Pain is a VERY significant read! Brian W. Smith has taken lies, pain, and drama to an all new high; exposing the cavalier diatribe of a woman who does what she can in order to get what it is she needs. Fast read that I LOVED.” Crystal, {Reviewer), OOSA On-line Book Reviews
"Mama’s Lies – Daddy’s Pain is an excellent read…it's a page turner that'll have you on the edge of your seat." Shanel Latimer-Davis (Reviewer), Black Butterfly Review
"Whew! This book had me on an emotional roller coaster. It made me want to laugh, cry, and get mad. So many deadbeat fathers are walking around not taking responsibility for their kids, and we find one that is a true father through and through and look what happens to him." Keesha Parker, President, Sisters of Unity Book Club (Baltimore, MD)
The S.W.A.P. Game
"The S.W.A.P. Game is an outstanding debut novel by an up and coming author. It is an eye-opening look at at topic that is still considered "taboo" in the black community. This must read book has it all: Drama, Betrayal, Mystery, and Suspense. A page turner from beginning to end with a heart stopping explosive ending." Shay C, (Founder), PeoplewholoveGoodBooks
"I can see why folks are talking about this book. Some books on this subject would concentrate mainly on the sex scenes, but this story gets into the minds of the characters so you see what motivates them to participate in something so taboo. Be prepared for several twist." Sheila M. Goss, Essence Magazine Best Selling Author, My Invisible Husband
"I would recommend this book to those who have been considering the "swinging" lifestyle so that they will have an idea of how it changes, and hopefully gives some insight into whether they can or will play the game." Sharel E. Gordon-Love, (Reviewer), APOOO Book Club
